Dale Carnegie served in the American Army during World War I. Dale Carnegie started his writing career after the war. In 1926, he finished his first writing collection, which was eventually renamed Public Speaking and Influencing Men in Business and featured Public Speaking: A Practical Course for Business Men.
Dale Carnegie passed away on November 1, 1955, at the age of 66 in New York.
